Putzfrau

A beer with a great story behind the name! A very smooth, dark German lager with hints of chocolate and coffee. Our Putzfrau is a Schwarzbier beer named after The Putzfrau pioneering vessel that played a huge role in cleaning up the Cuyahoga River when it was at its worst. This 56″ tugboat has been restored and is now navigating the Crooked River once again thanks to West Creek Conservancy, Samsel Supply Co and Phastar.

When something like this happens, especially so close to home, you name a beer after it! To honor this amazing restoration, and the continuous growth of our Cuyahoga River, we bring you Putzfrau which makes its maiden voyage at the brewery on (time).
